Overview
Kuwait Airways is the national carrier of Kuwait. The airline was founded in 1954, but has grown in a positive way to provide at the present time a variety of cheap flights to its daily passengers for the lowest airfares ever.

In April 1988 the Kuwait Airways Boeing 747 was hijacked and diverted to Algiers while on its way to Kuwait from Bangkok.
Later, after the invasion of Iraq in Kuwait in 1990, the airline’s premises were destroyed and from 15 of its aircraft were left only remains. But this did not stop the Kuwait Airways’ activity. The air company was launched one more time and then, its fleet was composed of three A A320-200s, three A310-300s, five A300-605Rs, four A340-300s and two Boeing B777s, bringing the fleet to 17 aircraft, already in the latest trends, modern and best-equipped.
Kuwait Airways also went into alliances with several airlines like Shorouk Air, Jet Airways and Trans World Airlines to keep up with demand and to continue its operations during the 1990 war.
